Did you know about the SEP diagnostic tool?
This tool helps you to pinpoint issues with SEP. It works with Endpoint protection, Endpoint protection small business edition and network access control.

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Support Tool is a utility designed to quickly and efficiently diagnose common issues encountered with Endpoint Protection and the Endpoint Protection Manager. With this release, the utility is limited to diagnosing problems on the local computer (that is, the computer that is running the utility). If a problem is identified, the tool will direct you to a solution, or the information can be provided to Tech Support, who can guide you through the next steps.

Do I know about it?
I use this for remote diagnostics all the time....."please open the link, download the tool and email me the results thanks." 99 times the problem glares up at you out of it and you can remote in to fix it without any searching hither and yonder to figure out what in the world could be wrong.

2. Click “I accept the EULA” button.

3. You have the option to run a Pre-installation check for SEP 11 Enterprise or SEP 12 SBE.
Click “Next”
4. Select “Full data for support”
5. Enter Company/Case/Contact information. Select location to save file.
6. Zip file and upload the file to Symantec support

In the latest versions of SEP one can get the tool from "Help & support" option in SEP client.
