  • 1.  Difference between 4.0 suite and 4.1

    Hi ,

     

    Today I got email Symantec Product Upgrade Available, and also I am seeing 12.1 RU6 MP2 in https://symantec.flexnetoperations.com  is this version  released reecently , if yes, what are the  new features included in this version.

     

    But in  https://symantec.flexnetoperations.com  I am seeing only Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition 4.0   version . not 4.1

    New fixes and component versions in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 MP2

    The SEP Windows client remains at 12.1.6 MP1a. But support was introduced for Mac OSX 10.11.

    Very few changes in this release but they can be found above in the link with full details.

    The real different between 4.0 and 4.1 is the removal of 2 components "Symantec System Recovery Desktop (SSR Desktop)" and "Symantec Mail Security for Domino".  Not sure why they called it a "Product Upgrade",  they should have called it a "Product Downgrade".  You pay the same $$ and got less product.
