Noifications to be triggered when certain security-related events occur. its real time or you can damper.
Scheduled Reportng happens at the scheduled time for the event you select.
Cheers!

Here some more information on how to create both:
- notifications:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
- scheduled reports:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/videos/sym...
Reports give you a full overview on the selected aspects (computer definitions status and so on) while notifications are only alerts to certain events (risk detection triggers, some system events or virus defintiions out of date).
Hope that helps
Thank you
