Hi there,

i have the Problem in my enviroment that there are some maschines have a different amount of sub agents.

(For better explaination see the screenshot.)

And for that reason the maschines with less than 6 agents don't work right. Especially the Software Portal BUTTON on the Altiris Agent is missing.

Any Ideas for that?!?!?!

Hello Duke,

Check the agent roll-out policies for the software delivery and task synchronization agents. Make sure they are enabled and pointing to a collection similar to 'all computers without agent x'. Then, if possible, change the schedule from the default 'run once asap' to something like once a day.

Software Portal will not work without those two agents (and the SWR agent settings turned on).

Cheers,

Jim

Hi Jim,

thx for your quick responds. I will checked the settings and change the policies from asap to once every day.

Do you think that this setting is also good for other sub agents???

The collections i used

" Windows Computers with no Task Synchronization Agent Installed" and

"Windows Computers with no Software Delivery Solution Agent Installed" and for the Software Portal

"Computers With Software Delivery Agent Installed"

I will give you feedback as soon as possible when i see any changes in my environment.

THX again

Those are the default (and usually the best) collections. After the initial roll-out of any Altiris agent, I always change the schedule to daily. This goes for the upgrade policy as well.

Hi Jim,

first of all

happy new year

Now i checked some of my problem workstations and found out that if i delete the computer first out of the NS Server and install the Maschine again then the Altiris Agent, Aclient, and the Inventory Agent-Package will install but the Task Synchronization Agent,Software Virtualization Agent, and the most important Software Delivery Solution Agent is still missing.

If i just install the new maschine without deleting just the Altiris Agent will install.

For that i have to say that we still install the OS for the maschines with LiveState Delivery because i didn't have time to build a hardware independent image for the Deployment Server.

But any way it should normaly work or am i wrong???

Maybe you wanna have some screenshots from the configuration or somthing from the NS Server.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Hi Duke,

I had a simular problem and I found out that if I cleanup the registry under HKLM\Software\Altiris it will work. Without this the entries will be still in the registry and mybe that's the reason why nothing changed.

I hope it will help you.
