  • 1.  Different console for NAC and SEP

We are currently checking out if its possible to have two servers that will act as a Management console for Anti-virus and a Management console for Network Access Control? Does anyone here ever tried doing that? In our scenario right now, we have an existing SEP Manager that manage our 1000 SEP client, we want a NAC to check some requirement such as antivirus, patch etc. but the point is we don't want it installed in our current SEPM console. We want a separate  console for this. Is what we're thinking possible?

You can have the Manager at two places.
But when you deploy SNAC Only client to a machine already having SEP it will integrate with existing sep and i don't think one SEP client can report to 2 servers at the same time.
However if you were to deploy SNAC only client to a computer without SEP then you could have done that.

    Hi Sir

Thank you for your urgent reply. You mean there's no way to have two console where one will manage the AV and the other one will manage NAC alone.

I think additional management server will be ideal for you .Refer the below doc
Installing a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager server for failover or load balancing

Note : For installing additional management server you should have SQL Database for SEPM
If your database is Embedded try the following doc
Managed Load Balancing: Setting up Management Server Lists based on locations.
