Directed Broadcast Issues - GhostCast

    Hi there,

We are running GhostCast 11.5 on a Windows Server 2012 box.  I am using a hybrid of WDS and GhostCast for my environment.  The clients PXE boot, to a WIM that then loads Ghost 11.5

At that point, I choose to do Unicast (works fine) or Directed Broadcast (the issue).  We do not use MultiCast as the switches at this site (Brocade) were not purchased with the necessary licensing to utilize PIM or Multicast.  So, Directed Broadcast is what I am trying to use.  We have several VLANs, the Ghost Server lives in VLAN 10, and the majority of the workstations are in VLAN 16.

Anyways, when I use Directed Broadcast with 1 Client, speeds are 1600-2000 Mbps as expected.  However, as soon as I add in another client, so if I try to Direct Broadcast to 2 clients, the speed drops to 40 Mbps.  That 40 Mbps speed sticks no matter if I have 2 or 72 (actually tried) clients.  So, I am looking for suggestions on where to go with this.

I have reached out to Brocade, and their support has to be some of the worst I have ever received.  Now with that said, has anyone seen this issue at any other point?  Do I need to enable IGMP even if I am NOT using Multicast?  The Ghostcast Server has its' firewall turned off at this point, and everything works fine until I start the Directed Broadcast session with 2 or more clients, then the speeds just dive.  The image will finish but it takes approximately 18-24 hours to push out a 40-55 GB image.  I have never seen this with any other switches.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and let me know if you have any suggestions or need additional information.

    Dave

Are you able to test with another switch?
