The 4 documents they refer to in the link V-79-57344-33967 do not really apply for us. We are using DFS however and one of the 4 articles mentions to exclude the directory \\*\*\DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory\ which I've done but it made no difference, probably since nowhere in the errors it refers to the actual directory that it cannot find.

The error mentions "directory was not found" 4 times, does that mean it's missing 4 directories?

Please help, is there any way I can find out what directory it cannot find. I've been fighting with this issue for several months now and we can't seem to figure it out.

We're backing up 4 servers with this one job, and all I can find out from the error log is on which server it has this problem with, FYI this server runs Exchange 2003 SP1.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this.

Thanks!

Paul

Hi Edward,

Are you backing up the Exchange Server using the AOFO option?

If yes then deactivate tihs option during backup.

The Backup Exec Version 10.1 build 5629 is the latest version of Backup Exec.

* Start the installation over the existing installation. You need not uninstall the earlier version.

You only need to reinstall the remote agents:

Thanks for your reply.

We are not using the AOFO at all backing up those servers and for Exchange we just use the Exchange module/agent.
I guess I should try upgrading to 10.1 or 10d and maybe it will solve this issue.

Have you ever seen this problem before?

Again, how can I find out the actual folder it's looking for since the selection list (even in text mode) simply doesn't show it.

Thank again.

Hello,

You can upgrade to BE v10.1 as suggested in our earlier reply.

I'm having the same issue and I have already upgraded to version 10.1 Rev 5629. I am using AOFO. It's running on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server
