I want to know if there is a commandline switch to prevent Alteris from cloning the SAN disks attached to the HP blades?

I only want to image the disks attached to the internal raid controller and write back these images to only the disks in the internal raid controller.

The SAN disk attached via the Qlogic card needs to be ignorred

I'm pretty sure you can specify which disk you are looking at.  You just have to know what disk numbers go to which devices.

Page 81 of this manual kind of explains this.

This is probably a stupid question, but can I use these commands under the advanced options when capturing and deploying images via the deployment console?

Yes, you can.  When doing a "Distribute Image" task, there is a "Additional Parameters" area where you can put the switches in.  This is also the case in "Create Disk Image".
