  • 1.  Disable automatic database backups on SEPM SBE 12.1.X

    Hello All

     

    We have several clients with limited disk space and SEPM is creating automatic database backups on these volumes causing the disk space to go really low because some backups are over 3GB in size.

     

    1. Is it normal the database to be over 3-4 Gb s  in a 10-20 client deployments?

    2. Is there a way to stop SEPM from automatically creating backups?

     

    Please keep in mind that these are SBE s and does not have all the feature sets of the enterprise editions.

    Have you tried similar procedure outlined here:

    I'm curious to see if it is same for SBE

    Hi Brian

    Those options are not availble for the SBE versions.

    From everything I can find, the backup in SBE is done weekly and cannot be configured. It happens automatically.

    sad I was afraid of that.Has anyone implemented any workarounds to overcome this limitation?

    Can you check one other thing:

    (Database Backup/Restore wizard) Located in the Start > Programs > Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Folder

    See if there are any configurable options there

    No Brian , it has only 3 options backup , restore and exit but none of these have configurable options.

    At present this option not available SEP sbe edition.
