This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi

Due to some troubleshooting i need to disable Bounce Attack Prevention (disable adding BAP seed to the header for outbound mail) and i need to know what would be the right thing to do.

1.Administration->Settings->Control Center->Certificates and delete the BAP seed

2.Administration->Policy Groups->Default (for example)->Spam and clear "  Enable bounce attack prevention for this policy group"

Or maybe both ?????

Another question,if i delete tha BAP seed and later want to turn BAP on again,do i have to use the same BAP seed or not,i think i have read somewhere that changing the BAP seed from time to time is advisable

Thanks

You should not need to delete the seed value, but as you said it is a good idea. Most NDRs come back within 24 hours, so if you're disabling it for longer than that you should use the opportunity to change the seed value.

Thanks Davis for the reply,So the best thing would be :

2.Administration->Policy Groups->Default (for example)->Spam and clear "  Enable bounce attack prevention for this policy group"

If i disable BAP for a short period of time (3-4 hours) i dont need to change the seed value, just enable BAP for the group?

Best Regards
