Hi,

is there a way to disabel "drag and drop" in the console.
We're using SMP 7.1 SP1.

The reason is, to prevent the possibility to move a job to a group of computers, maybe all computers.

Thanks.

I dont think that is possible.. However silver light is one which does that.. But i would not recomend to remove that as it will effect other functions..

If you click on a Security Role, in the Privileges section there is a Software Management group.  Under there, one of the privileges is Software Deliveries.  If a security role does not have that privilege, then users will not be able to drag and drop software onto computers.

Hi,

OK, this belongs to the Software.
The aim of our customer is, that no "worker" can use the "drag and drop" feature.
To prevent the possibilitie of deploying a group of computers.
Or to prevent to "drag and drop" a task (e.G. Reboot) to all Computers.
I know, this sound funny but this is an real question :)

Thanks

For what its worth, its not like you D&D and then the software automatically deploys.  There is a confirmation screen...

Hi Zac, yes you are right. That sounds like my own words... ;)
I know, when you deploy SW by D&D you have to confirm. It's the same like "New Schedule".
But the customer wants to have D&D disbaled

I think It isn't possible.

Did you try Andrew's solution?  Did that not work?

You can always search for the computer or group first and then drag the job or task onto the computer. I don't really think that there is a way you can disable that.

HI,
the privileges that Andrew describes does not exist in SMP 7.1 SP1.
And in the Sec Groups I've no checkboxes selected in the privileges section.
I can use D&D.
