Disable, or shorten lifespan of, DNS host cache...

This issue has been solved. See solution.

NetBackup has a default host cache lifespan of 60 minues.

Which can be cleared using:

bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache

Two questions:

1) Is there a touch/value file to modify the 60 minutes default, or disable the cache completely?

2) What does this command do:  "bpclntcmd -resync_host_cache N" ?

1. Not that I know of, if you want to change the value, to more frequently on a constant basis, use cron. There would be no reason to want to stop it from running.

2) Why do you want to know? There are no technotes on it and it is not listed in the commands guide, therefore it is not recommended for your to play around with this setting.
