  • 1.  Disable PGP ZIP when encrypting File with PGP Key

    Posted Nov 22, 2011 09:50 AM

    Hi

We have installed PGP Desktop Corporate. We are using just the Feature Desktop Keys an Zip.  As far as we use the program we do not need any license
When we encrypt two or more Files with a Key these Files automaticly will be ziped! We would like to disable this but I could not find where.

    Does anyone have any Idea?

    Best regards
    Iglu

Although PGP Desktop when used as Freeware will encrypt files, be aware that the End User License Agreement does not allow PGP to be used for commercial purposes.

If I understand this correctly, you want the files to be encrypted individually.  In the PGP Zip dialog, below the files you have added, you have some buttons - the Advanced Options one will allow you to make the selection of Do Not Zip.

Righ, as tom said, when encrypting file, before dropping files into pgp, click on the below button, the one on the right. Check "Do not zip(output files individually) .

Have these comments helped? Please mark post as solution if so.

    Hi
    Your Reply helped me.
I usually encrypt Files marking them and continue with "right mouse click". Now i choose do "encrypt with pgp zip" instead "encrypting with key".

I thougt encrypt with pgp zip would start archice zip folder and all that stuff which we would not like to use.
