  • 1.  Disable updates from SEPM

    I have a client with three locations and servers at one only one of the sites. I want to be able to manage policies the computers from the other sites but I want them to get updates from liveupdate.symantec.com

    Is that possible?

     Yes it is very much possible..
    However would like to know what version of SEP are you using ?

    We just installed the Symantec Protection Center Small Business Edition 3.0 and are deploying SEP MR5

    Yes it is possible. You can do that from liveupdate policy.

    I did look in the liveupdate policy creator. I found something to allow the updates come from Symantec Liveupdate but I could not find anything to disallow updates to come from my server.

    Dave,

    SEP for Small Business does not offer the same settings and features as the Enterprise product.
    The ability to disallow updates to come from the server is not available on SEP SBE.
