Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Hi Team,

We have two sites with wintel servers , with sepm installed . Would like to know if we can  install SEPM console in two wintel servers one in each  site. Register all the servers ( wintel server  from both sites ) in both the SEPM consoles and manage . Or is there any other way to achive redudnacy . So that if one SEPM cosnole fails we can manage the clients from other SEPM console.

You can use SEPM console to manage any SEPM server. While logging into console, you can specify the server name/IP of the SEPM server that you want to manage, provided there is a connectivity between SEPM console machine and the server machine.

Though at one time you can manage only one server. Unless you have setup a replication between 2 sites. Replication is setup at the installation time. In case of replication, you can add a replication partner site from the Admin tab to view the clients/poliicies and other information from the replication partner. This also helps your SEP agents to failover to the replication partner server.
