Disk Image package location - Can I change it

Created: 18 Nov 2013 | 3 comments

I had a package server that was taken offline and replaced. In the NS the image still points to the old site server as this is were it was created.

Is there any way I can change the package location to point to the new site server ?

Hi JannasTo,

1. Open Symantec Management Console -> click "Settings" -> "Console" -> "Views"

-- Expand "Software" folder -> expand "Software Catalog" -> expand "Deliverable Software" -> click on "Release" -> Choose your package and click "Edit"

2. Click on "Package" tab -> click on package name and click on "Edit" button -> click on "Package Server" tab -> choose what you need from "Assign package to" dropdown menu

Hope that these steps will solve your problem.

Thanks,

IP.

Hi,

you can't. You have to reimport the image with the resourceimporttool. The old site server is the "owner" of the image and this role could not be transfered. Only by reimporting into your NS.
