    Can someone please help me?

I'm trying to create an image of a HP 6730b from Altiris DS 6.8(build 378) SP2 and I keep getting the "Disk Not Found" error. Bellow is the last log generated:
    Error description:
    The disk was not found.
    (Note: Disk number:0)

    Possible causes:
A problem occurred while accessing the hard drive on your computer.

    Possible resolutions:
Repeat the operation to see if the problem occurs in the same manner again.
Replace the hard drive in the computer that is malfunctioning.

It's possible that the automation client doesn't have the mass storage drivers needed for your disk/controller.  Generally a quick and easy way around this is to go into your BIOS and change the SATA operation from AHCI to ATA.

    Thank you for your reply!

Yes, it is a SATA Disk but in BIOS it hasn't the ATA option... It has AHCI and IDE. IDE was already choosen at the time of the test.

Should I test with AHCI? And what about the drivers/automation client, what is my other(s) option(s)?

Unfortunately, I don't do much with HP so am unfamiliar with their BIOS's.  I would assume that switching it to AHCI will cause a problem as the automation OS's more than likely won't have the appropriate drivers as well as your target OS (XP...XP has to be installed with the driver...F6 during setup...in order to work with the AHCI setting).

One other item you might try is to format the disk on that computer prior to imaging it.  I have seen some cases, especially when the drive is replaced by a refurbished unit under warranty, that RDEPLOY and GHOST both have a hard time working with it.  To do this as a test to know where you stand, I would just boot off of an XP CD and start the setup (where you partition the drive and quick format NTFS).  Once you have done this, try doing your original task.  If it works, you know that the drive did not have any sort of table or structure on it.  If it doesn't work (i.e. XP setup does not see the drive), you may need to contact HP for guidance on what drivers are needed in both your target OS and your automation OS.

Hey MRod, did you get the issue sorted out? Let us know what the resolution was if you've got it solved.

According to your log it looks like you need to address the Linux automation. It will need the proper AHCI drivers. Search for 'linux ahci' on this site. Based off the posts from doing that search, this driver should work for you:
