what is the command or steps to check number of disk volumes in the disk pool?

Before break-up, make sure you have a good backup..... ;-)
try nbdevconfig command with -previewdp switch
and -U for user readable format.

if my one disk volume is down ,then whole disk pool will show as down?
No pool will not be marked as down. Jobs will not be able to use that particular disk.
Extract from NBU shared storage guide: NetBackup jobs still read from and write to a disk pool that has a downed volume, but the downed volume is unavailable.

what if my disk pool has only one volume?
Then if that 1 disk volume is down, the disk pool will be unusable until you bring the volume up.
