Hello

We currently have problems regarding our DLO. It would appear that the administation service is not working as it should.

The main purpose of this post is really try and find out the following two points -

1. Why we are unable to delete users from the DLO Users List within the console/management screen. I tried to delete a user around a week ago now and the user stil shows within the list with a status of 'Delete Pending'. The actual client has been totally removed from the user's laptop also.

2. How do we run the 'administration sevice' manually, on a 'when needed' basis? Is this even possible?

Currently this runs automatically overnight, or at least is set to do so.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

Lee

We have the same problem -

We have the same problem - Backup Exec 12.5 SP2.  We have a number of users and computers that are showing as "Pending Delete", and their data is still showing in the storage locations.

What process \ service actually deletes the accounts & data and how can I manually start it?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi

Please refer this blog
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/dele...

That will help you delete the user or the computer from the database . The dlo administration service is responsible for deleting the user . But the User might not be connected to the network and it need to delete the user from the LUDF and as well as NUDF
Hope this answeres your questions
