DLO agent authentication issue after renaming AD account

I have tasked with changing the WIN logon format our company uses. I am having a problem with the DLO agent after logging in with the new username.

 

It prompts with a screen saying

 

I have read forum posts saying I can try deleting the .dlo and .settings folders, or to try removing the user from the DLO agent screen. None of this has helped. Forum posts seem to say there may be a hotfix available shortly but i was wondering if there was a workaround or timeframe when you think this hotfix be live?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it seems there are quite a few people with this problem and no real resolution.

Have you tried restarting the client computer?

If you connect to the media server with one set of credentials, and then try to connect to the server with a different set of credentials, authentication may fail. Restart the computer to reconnect.

Go into your services, there are around 5 services that backup exec is using, probably under the previous AD account.  Stop the five services, then try to re-authenticate.  Once in, make sure to start your services back up again.
