Hi,

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise on a few of my laptops with DLO Agent 12. I have come to realise that since I've installed Windows 7, the DLO does not do Incremental backups of the PST files anymore. Does anyone know of this issue or a solution thereof?

As Windows 7 is going to be

As Windows 7 is going to be supported by Backup Exec 2010 and is not supported by earlier versions of Backup Exec it is somewhat suprising that the DLO client even runs.

Surprisingly enough, the DLO

Surprisingly enough, the DLO client does run, the only issue is the incremental backups. But I have started to see that incremental backups are also not happening on machines with Vista and Windows XP. I've checked the settings on the server and incremental backups are enabled.

Incremental Outlook Backups

So does anybody have any idea why the incremental backups for Outlook PST files won't work?

Old topic, I realize, but for

Old topic, I realize, but for reference Office 2007 SP2 broke PST incremental updates via DLO.  Something to do with MS changing the whole 3rd-party access mechanism.  Last I heard there was no fix.

Problem was solved

I forgot to post.

Office2003 SP2 was definitely not the culprit in this case as all updates, patches and Service Packs were installed to Symantec Backup Exec. The problem in this case was a user error. The global configuration disallowed incremental backups of PST files.

Just so that everybody knows. Even though Symantec says that Windows 7 is not supported under Backup Exec DLO 12, it does actually work and it works perfectly.

Double D, Have you attempted

Double D,

Have you attempted to run the application through compatibility mode or utilize XP Mode / Virtual PC? To learn more about XP Mode, please see the following link: http://bit.ly/d8i7Sb

Also, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and guidance.

DLO Agent Install in Windows 7

Good day, I want to install DLO Agent 2010, in 32-bit Windows 7, but it generates an error when performing the installation locally. Error: "This Machine Does Not Have the minimum required MDAC version, 2.8. Please install the latest MDAC Before you continue", however  MDAC is not a component in Windows 7, some of you might lean to solve this problem. Thanks in advance
