Can anyone suggest me , how can I do DLP agent deployment without symantec managemnt console (Altiris). What are chanlenges and methods to do it.

It is recommende to deploy throgh Altiris or MS SCCM like tools which help you to do easy.

To deploy DLP agent it is recommneded to use ALtiris ie. symantec Manahgement Console but you can use some alternative solution like Microsofts SCCM ,PDQ deploy from Admin arsenal, Active Directory GPO etc.

Just a quick note, if you read the documentation for DLP 12.0 it is no longer recommended to deploy/manage the Endpoint Agent via Altiris but to deploy via some software deployment tool and then manage the Endpoint Agent through the DLP console.

So there is a slight difference, Altiris is no longer recommended for managing the agent. There is the DLP Integrated Component for Altiris that can be installed on the Symnatec Management Platform and then has tasks prebuilt for deploying the DLP endpoint agent.  There are also some other prebuilt tasks (like restart the agent, stop the agent, etc) that can be run

Symantec in 12.0 mentions the correct way now to manage (change the endpoint agent, etc.) the agent is through the DLP Console.

You can still deploy the agent trhough Altiris and in fact is a very easy way to do if you have Altiris in your environment.

Watching this thread... Having no success pushing the client using SCCM.

No you can't change the uninstallation password from the Enforce Console
