    Hi,

    We have a central Oracle database, which we would like to host the DLP database on.

    My questions are ...

    - Can we use a central/shared Oracle 11g server? or do we have to use the Symantec Oracle database server installation?

    - Would it be supported deployment?

    As long as the shared enviroment was 11.2.0.3 then Symantec would support the schema but not the database itself. The database would be supported by Oracle. This type of configuration is used with most of our larger customers who have their own DBAs. The reason for the distinction has to do with QA; we only support configurations that we have run through QA although it is likely to work outside of that setup with respect to Oracle.
