    Hello,

Can I deploy Single Tier and Detection Servers on Azure VMs? I know Symantec officially supports AWS. However we already have our infra in Azure and I was hoping to make it work there. So I was hoping for answers on below two questions.

    1. Can we install the components on Azure server? Technically feasible?

    2. Does Symantec officially supports it?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

My understanding is that Symantec doesn't really care what cloud you leverage for the detection servers whether that is Azure or Amazon or Rackspace.  However the challenge is the Oracle Database.  I know the last time I looked at the System Requirements Guide that Oracle was not officially supported by Symantec on a virtual machine while it is supported by Oracle form a virtual point of view.

Good luck and et me know if you run into any problems.

    Adding another post to answer:

Yes it is technically feasible as Oracle itself supports the DB in Azure: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/cloud/faq-1963009.html but once again you would have to refer to the Symantec Support statements.

You can totally install it though

This is interesting. I was looking to deploy Enforce to AWS RDS for Oracle.

I have currently got detection servers running in AWS EC2 without issue but Enforce is on-prem.

Any thoughts on how I might do this?
