Dear All,

I am performing DLP deployment and I need to add those machines in altiris manuall or comapring two smallre windows selections. Is there any better option/feature in Altiris so that I will add all the machines in notepad text and it will automatically imported/read by Altiris for DLP push. As such features are in SEP 12.1 deployment and in Altiris deployemnt by importing txt of IP/machine list.

You can create a Filter by Importing a CSV file.

But the PCs need to have the Symantec Management ("Altiris") Agent already on them to "pull" any software, you can't "push" software.

can you explain in detail above method. As we have already installed Altiris on machines but we wanted to exclude certain users so how it can possible in such scenario.

Add all the PCs (not users) to a CSV file.

Go to Manage > Filters. Right-click on a Folder where you want to create the Filter for those PCs and select New > Filter. Under the "Filter Definitions" section > Explicit Inclusions and Exclusions > Resources included in this filter, click the icon with the blue arrow. Browse to your CSV file and select it. The filter will then contain all the PCs listed in your CSV that have an Altiris Agent on it.
