  • 1.  DLP Documentation - Specifically Encryption Key Generation

    Hello,

I've been Googling for about 24 hours now and really have yet to find anything helpful, so perhaps somebody in this forum can point me in the right direction.  I'm in charge of the DLP endpoint client deployment.  It's not important, but I'm using SCCM to do it.  Regardless, amidst testing it became apparent we wanted to use a unique encryption key, so I now have to generate one.  We have sent an email to our DLP customer rep, who responded only with "look at the installation documentation, there is a section on Symantec DLP Agent Security and how to set it up".  Honestly, I've been scowering all over the Internet to find this documentation, and the only thing I can seem to locate is this website:  https://kb-vontu.altiris.com.  Which requires a login.  Which I have requested, and 18 hours later, I have only received a single email stating Symantec has received my request and will be getting back to me.

If somebody can point me to a public website where this documentation exists, or some step-by-steps for generating unique encryption keys, I would be most grateful.

    Thanks & Best Regards.

Seth, the Installation Guide should be with all of the other product docs that came with the software. There is a Docs directory that contains the docs once you download and extract the ZIP files. The docs are not publicly availalble.

If you're still having difficulty locating the doc or accessing the KB, let me know.

    Best regards,

    Steve
