DLP Email Prevent - processing multiple recipients

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Just getting DLP Network Prevent for E-mail setup for the first time.  Wonder how does it handle a message with multiple recipients?  For example a user sends a message to both mike@domainA.com and jennifer@domainB.com.   Policy detects messages to domainA.com and adds a header.  Does that header get added to the message for jennifer, or just for mike?

My setup is Exchange --> SymDLP --> Email Gateway

hello,

most of the times answers to your question is YES, both recipient will have this header added (because email routing is not yet performed by your company SMTP servers which just routing it to internet first (then the split per recipient will be performed by email routers)).

In some very specific cases, you could have some difference because email routing could be trcky sometimes so if you just want to confirm this try to send an email to two external test email address and check if both email have the header set.

But (except if you are also analyzing internal email) if you thsi header should not be added to internal email.

 Regards.
