    Hi All,

    I want to create a new policy for DLP end points where I need to block documents by extracting infomation of documents metadata.

    I dont need to scan whole documents.Kindly let me know how to create policy for the same.

    Marcus,

    In order for DLP to even look at the meta tags you will need to enable this functionality on EACH of the detection servers.

    Go to the Server Settings page for the DLP Endpoint server and change the following setting to TRUE

    ContentExtraction.EnableMetaData = true

    You will need to recycle the Services.

    This will allow the server to extract the meta tags to match for the keywords you are looking for.

    Dear DLP Solutions2,

     

    I will have to disagree with you. In order to activate the metadata for DCM detection (keyword match only policy) as stated above, the correct setting is Detection.ENABLE_METADATA.str in Agent Config advanced settings - which by default is OFF. 

    You will need to activate the server setting only for network probes and mixed policies which require 2tier detection.
