The Licensing on Symantec DLP is divided into modules in order to give the client the possibility to choose what components he needs.

From what you wrote, I understand he needs everything besides Network Prevent.
I think that contacting Symantec would be the best choice because it could be that it would be cheaper to take the entire DLP package instead of component based pricing.

About the Enforce server, it does have a separate license. and keep in mind that the client should provide Oracle license himself or buy one from Symantec, the Oracle license does not come for free as a part of the package.

Support this point: "contacting Symantec would be the best choice because it could be that it would be cheaper to take the entire DLP package instead of component based pricing."

Customers are sometimes not aware of licensing and pricing of Symantec products.

Hello

thank you for your reply

as i understand the customer needs to have a license for the module, oracle and enforce

so three kinds of licensing?

okay ,yes that's right

my concern is about the license of enforce itself ,what i'm lost in ,is that does Enforce have a separate license than the modules and oracle ,that's my point and what i think from what Naor said that yes Enforce also have a separate license

Yes,

The Enforce Module does require a separate license.

Here are the licensing types (as far as i recall):

  1. Enforce server
  2. Endpoint Discover
  3. Endpoint Protect
  4. Network Discover
  5. Network Protect
  6. Network monitor
  7. Network prevent for mail
  8. Network prevent for web
  9. Endpoint Machine (endpoint based licensing, the more endpoints you install the client on the more licenses you need).

Hope it helps,
