  • 1.  DLP - masking CCD in emails

    Posted Sep 21, 2016 05:12 AM

    Hi everyone,

Is it possible to mask data in the outgoing emails?

The goal is to achive compliance with PCI 3.1 requirements (4.2 Never send unprotected PANs) we want to mask CCD in emails.

For example, in case an employee sends email with PAN, then the DLP in its turn masks the PAN with asterisk. So the recipient of such email will not get an email with clear CCD, but masked with asterisk.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

    Hello,

AFAIK DLP can't do what you are asking (obfuscate the CCD).

    hello,

obfuscation is not possible with dlp solution.

You could block email and notify sender that he must remove PAN to send his message based on PCI......

    regards.
