    Hi All,

     How  and where to import the policy which has been saved as template in the form of xml document.

    Hi, 

    Copy the xml file to : 

    X:\SymantecDLP\Protect\config\templates

    "X:\Vontu\Protect\config\templates" for DLP 11.1.2 and below

    On Enforce Go to Manage > Policy List > Add Policy > Add a policy from a template > 

    Now go to the very bottom > select the template from the "Imported Templates" and click on next.
     
    This should work for you. But remember if the plict has EDM\IDM then you need to update the EDM\IDM for the policy befor you could save the policy.

    Hi SAM,

      Yes it works, but they are now in two different groups. The same policy in 2 different groups, Can I replace or how to remove the other policy..

    If you want to remove a policy, you need to delete all the incidents that related to this policy firstly. But, why you export a policy from the Enforce, and then import it back to this Enforce? There will be two policy with the same detection rules on your Enforce. This will generate duplicate incidents.

    Yang is right about you second part of the issue .. There is no need to export the policy which already exist .. The policy basically stays in the oracle database until you export it and put it to the template folder.

    Hi ,

      Iam new to DLP,how to clear all the incidents and also need the backup in form of EXCEL REPORT, Is that possible.

    Now the policy which i have added, shows like duplicated. unable to remove..

    Guide me ..
