    Can anyone help me in Manual Step by Step upgrade process of DLP 12 to 14. All components has to be upgraded.

    DLP v14 now Supports/runs with Oracle 11.2.0.4 or 12c Enterprise

    Thus, from DLP 12.0 (Oracle 11.2.0.3) you need to update first to DLP 12.5. and then update Oracle to 11.2.0.4. After you have upgraded Oracle to 11.2.0.4 you can proceed to upgrade to DLP v14.

    Ideally, we need to update the Enforce first, then the Dectection Server followed by Agents & Scanners.

    I see, you've mentioned the word "manual" in your query/post. If that means that automatic update feature not working - you could use the below link to trigger a manual upgrade:

    I see that document has upgrade from 14.0 to 14.1 hope same procedure is applied for Complete version change i mean from 12.0 to 14.0 (In between Upgrade path is followed without say). 

    Also can you please help me with the details and process to take backup of files/folders before running upgrade on enforce/detection/Oracle.

    Hi

    Quick question here- according to this article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH220684 , you can upgrade straight from 12.01 to 14.0.

     

    v12.0 does work with 11.2.0.4, but whether SYMC supports it is another question.

     

    Does anyone know categorically if you can jump from 12.01 to 14.0 as stated, and it'll be supported?

    eg.

    Upgrade DB to 11.2.0.4 then upgrade Enforce from 12.01 to 14.0

    Should be fine. How long are planning to wait between upgrading the database to upgrading Enforce? Your upgrade phases, or steps, are on page 11 of the Symantec v14 upgrade guide.

    • upgrade Oracle to 11.2.0.4 (and check to see if they have listed any patches that can be applied)
    • upgrade Enforce, then use Enforce to upgrade your detection servers
    • upgrade agents and/or scanners
    • perform any post-upgrade tasks
    • done
