DLP Web Server Scanner
Hi,
We have some problem with the DLP Web Server Scanner.
We've got a Single Tier Enforce server with Network Discover function and an Endpoint Prevent server. We want to make a webserver discover target. In the admin guide we checked how it works but there are some part of the description which is not clear.
What port we have to give at the Web Server scanner installation as a Discover Port?
The scanner had been installed to a notebook, we tried with the default port 8090 and with 8100 which is the Network Discover port.
After the install the scan seems to be running, in the job0 directory new files appears. We made the Web Server Discover Target, but we cannot see the connection on the Enforce Platform between the Network Discover server and the Scanner.
In the log I see some error:

Hi,We can start the scan
Hi,
We can start the scan with port 8090. Are there any way to start the scan from the DLP enforce web site? After we start the scan on the website we have to start or restart the vontuwebscanner service on the machine where we installed the scanner. It is normal or it's possible to do a scan without login to the scanner machine.
regards,
Laszlo
I don't understand. Do you
I don't understand. Do you have both the Endpoint feature and the Network Discover installed on the same machine as the Enforce server?
If you do then I think this could be the cause of your problem. I don't think that this configuration is supported and you should only have one kind of detection server installed on a single-tier setup.
Try installing discover or endpoint detection server on a second device and restarting your services. That should work.

Xavier
No, we have a Network
No, we have a Network Discover on the Enforce, and an Endpoint Prevent Server on an another machine. The scanner installed to an another workstation. We can start the scan manually, I mean after we start it on the Enforce we have to start the webscannerconsole on the scanner machine to start sending items to the enforce. This method is in the admin guide but I tought, if I install the scanner as a service, then it works without start the scanner manually.
Service port is disabled
Hi Laszlo2
As i go through the logs, i found that Service port is disabled which might be causing the error.
please specify the port number on which the Classification Server accepts connections from Data Classification for Enterprise Vault filters. The default port is 10080.
The ports used below are default ports. Port 8100 is the default port used by all detection servers to communicate with the enforce server.
i have attached all default port which are used.
