  • 1.  do I have to run DLP agent as Administrator ?

    Hello ,

We are having this issue where DLP agent does not get installed on client machine.

It does installs fine manually using admin acccount.

how can we use microsoft SCCM to deploy DLP agent on client machine with Admin priviledge ? Is it must  to have client installed as Admin?

    Rgds,

    Ankit,

When it comes to windows 7 installations you need to make sure that the agent is installed by an account that has Adminstrative rights. Windows 7 has MANY security features that has made it more difficult to install SW than it was with Windows XP.

So you need to configure the SCCM application to install the using an Admin user account. Also make it reboot the PC ust in case.

Make sure that you also copy the file to the laptop before running the installer. It will not work if you run the installer from a network attached storage.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Ankit,

When deploying the agent to MANY endpoints at the same time, you need to copy the SW to the local drive. This is because when you run the executbale it will expand some files. These files need to 'owned' by each endpoint.

If you are doing this on 1 Endpoint at a time make sure that you map the drive.

    Hope this makes sense.
