Endpoint Protection

Hello, I am looking for documentation on all the windows services that are created when installing SEP  11.  I realize different services will be installed depnding on the features of the product.  I'd like to find out as much about these services as I can such as the EXE associated w/ them, the default configuration for startup, what is configurable about these services, etc.  I'm struggling navigating the SEP website to find something like this.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

Good idea but I'm stuck on one step:

I'm looking for this for build RU6a.  I found the release notes (linked below).  When I click on the windows components link I'm taken to the release notes for RU6 MP2!  I'm assuming the build versions wouldn't match exactly.  I know its silly but I need accurate build documentation.

I don't believe any one at Symantec would be able to supply you with that information, as it's proprietary information. Another reason that stands out to me immediately would be, virus writers and such could use that information to circumvent our software.

I'm not asking for anything more than is already provided in release notes.  I am just looking for accurate release notes for the version I am on RU6a.  The release notes for RU6a provide a link for component details.  That link takes you to component versions for the latest builds of SEP.

That is what I need, but specifically I am looking for the section titled "Components in this release" which I expect will have file versions, etc.  In the Ru6a release notes under "Components in this release" you'll find a link.  That link takes you to components in Release Update 6 Maintenance Patch 2.  I don't think they are the same versions, correct?  I dont want to document the file versions for Release Update 6 Maintenance Patch 2, I want to document them for RU6a.

There were no components added or removed between RU6a and RU6MP2.

Some of the version numbers on the files have changed, of course. If you have been looking at RU6a that specific portion may not have been updated, try looking at RU6.
