    does Altiris CMS 7.0 and 7.1 support IPv6?

    Can it function smoothly if my network moves to IPv6?

    Information on the same will be appreciated.

    Notification Server 7.0 supports IPv6

    The following support for IPv6 is provided:

      • Agent identification of IPv6 address space and networking details for sending basic inventory
      • Reports include IPv6 column data, and both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
      • Resource Manager includes IPv6 information

    I have done plenty of test for 7.1 working in an IPv6 environment.

    The agent is working okay, albeit it has some issues with Site Management that works based on IPv6.

    You will certainly have problems running the agent on a pure IPv6 network with many subnets and sites.

    Also note that 7.5 is dropping all use of IPv6 that was found in 7.1.
