This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear All,

I have a Text value of "(UTC) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London" and I need to convert this into a TimeZone object. Is there a Component available? Search does not yield much.

So, does anyone know how to convert a Text value into a TimeZone object with a value?

have you tried using a single value mapping component and connecting your text variable to the Time Zone "Id" variable?  give that a try.

africo,

Why the Id variable? It worked for me when I used the SVM Component at your suggestion, but using the "DisplayName" variable.

I stand by the accuracy of my Inventory of the organisation. Don't blame me for the picture that it presents...

there are 2 "timezone" datatypes (in 7.5 anyway) and i just chose the first one.  looks like you got it handled though, good for you!

africo,

Yes, there is the "Time Zone" and the "TimeZone".

I like the "Dirty" attribute, however!
