Does NBU 7.1 support incr Hot Catalog Backups?

It looks all our incr hot catalog backup became full. Does the NBU 7.1 support incr or diff Hot catalog backups? If support, how to run Catalog restore from incr? Looks incr and full both generate "recovery files".

Yes you can do incremental catalog backups. If you configure your policy to e-mail the DR file then that e-mail will detail all the images it requires in order to restore the catalog (INCR and FULL) (as well as some instructions on the 'Catalog Recovery Procedure')

Here comes with the details.

1. We have daily full catalog backup scheduled on early morning and cumulative increment on afternoon. but the full and incr completed with same size around 450GB. Not sure what happened.

2. Both incr and full backups generate DR files, if we will need to recover from incr and full backups, which DR file should we give?

Please check if backup type of both schedule is set as full. Also check the size of each backup ids.

For 2, use the file created on incremental backup if you want to recover to that point.

the schedule is clearly on full and incr. the problem doesn't happen alway but often. Opened case with VERTAS.
