Can PGP support WDE for an external drive that only contains the Windows 8 togo operating system? So far Truecrypt does and I would prefer to use PGP.

As you can see in this Knowledge Base Article, PGP/SED does not yet have Windows 8 support.  Although some Windows 8 users have reported success in use of other PGP/SED components with Windows 8, WDE has been particularly problematic.  You can subscribe to the above KBA, to be notified when Windows 8 is supported.  You may also be interested in http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH202364

Symantec Drive encryption 10.3.1/3.3.1 is now GA which adds support for Windows 8 BIOS and UEFI(x64 only) systems.

Although Windows to Go is officially not supported, you should be able to use it with SDE(Symantec Drive encryption).

Atleast i havent found an issue so far and it works fine for me.
