    Does SBG supports mdaemon mail server? Does symantec have mail security for mdaemon?

    Hi,

    Symantec Brightmail Gateway (SBG) sits in front of your internal mail server and protects before the mail gets to your mail server.
    It is a standalone appliance and does not require installation to your mailserver.

    Is that what you mean?

    I see but aside of using sbg do we also mail security for mdaemon?thanks

    Hi,

    SBG will not interfere with the downstream email server and should work OK. It runs independently as a separate host that will relay inbound messages to your email server and accept outbound messages from it if you configure SBG to do so.
    As for mdaemon there's not a Symantec Mail Security (SMS) version for that product. We have versions for Exchange and Domino and other solutions that may suit you.
