  • 1.  Does SEP 12.1 scans virtual machines?

    Posted Jun 06, 2012 09:32 AM

I have SEP 12.1 (12.1.671.4971) installed on my Windows 7 laptop and it works fine. However, the other day I opened my XP virtual machine that I have installed on the same laptop and I couldn't find the SEP console under the menu. Does the SEP installation on the main machine (Win7 in this case) protects my virtual machine or I need to install another instance of SEP on my virtual machine? Thanks!

    Hello,

Every VM needs to have the SEP client installed, however you can exclude the base image by Running the Virtual Image Exception tool. You could also perform things to enhance performance.

    Check these Articles:

    Hope that helps!!
