  • 1.  Does S.E.P have reporting functionality for its application whitelisting component?

    Posted Apr 26, 2015 07:17 PM

    Hi,

I am planning on using S.E.P's fingerprint functionality to implement application whitelisting. Could you tell me if there is any reporting associated with this? I.e., does it tell you what applications were attempted to run that were blocked?

Your help would be grealty appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Kimberley

All this information will be available in the Control log. You can run these types of logs to check activity.

    Hello,

Check the Control log (e.g. Client GUI > View Logs > Control Log) and examine what really happened.

    Check this:

Control Log: Information in the Application Control log and the Device Control log.

Logs could be collected and Exported manually, however, could not be sent via email.

However, you can enable the External Logging

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO55409

SEPM > Monitors > Logs > Type of Logs

    Regards,
