"Technically", no. RHEL or Windows only.

    Will it work? Yes.

    Any plans in the roadmap?

I doubt it. They still support only RHEL 5.x and haven't moved to 6 yet. Since RHEL will provide support, I'd bet they will stay with that and not likely every go to CentOS.

    (my 2 cents)

Officially is not supported by Syamntec.
But it works without problems. Just making sure that is the same version that supported for Red hat.

Works smoothly because CENTOS is based on Red hat precisely.

Surely, Symantec officially only supports RED HAT because  Red hat is that which has "Official Support for  business."

If it is not officially supported by Symantec, then we get into support issues.

I can't take a chance with more than 150 servers of Symantec saying....we don't "officially" support it.

I can sympathize with Symantec for not supporting every variant of Linux, it could be a nightmare especially with Oracle, but an interesting possibility is Oracle Linux.

I think officialy it is not supported but can be suppoted. Some function may be not work properly as per RHEL 5 features.
