Does Touchdown only work if email is hosted by Exchange server?

  • 1.  Does Touchdown only work if email is hosted by Exchange server?

    My company uses Outlook hosted by Google/GMail, so will Touchdown work on my phone, or, will it only work with email systems hosted by Exchanger server?  Thank you.

    Hi,

    We support Google Apps on a best effort basis, as they use a proprietary version of activesync.
