Domain Name Extension

Is there anyway to append the domain name extension to the server name?  Specifically when I send out a weblink for someone to download an installer package instead of just being able to click on the link they have to add the domain name to the server name before the url will work.  e.g. server02.my.company.org:8014.  Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

I don't think it's possible to append the domain name extension to the server name. However let me reconfirm.

the only way is to have the email sent your email id and then you edit it as per your need and send it to the user.

There are no configuration options. available for the email link. It's "what you see is what you get."

There isn't any way to customize default email configuration. You can just add email recipients and email subject.

As this is expected behavior and we have a server in the other domain I just finished testing to make sure that it makes the appropriate change in the URL.  It does so there is no longer a need to append the domain name.

However one interesting thing to note it failed to send to the other domain.  Is there any issue with configuring a different email server for different SEPMs?

Shouldn't matter. What shows in your email server logs?

Well now this is interesting.  I only had the primary SEPM configured with the email server in one of the domains.  The result was that it sent the email but only to the recipients in the OTHER domain.  Once configured with the email server of the correct domain the email was sent as expected.

Notice I put previously that it failed to sene to the other domain.  That is incorrect, it failed ot send to the domain for which the primary SEPM was configured.
