I have the same problem too. As the
Brightmail Gateway default settings
considered the
Domino Groups addresses as
invalid recipients
. and our
Symantec's
official support staff is unable solve this problem
but only
told us that the
Domino LDAP Query setting is incomplete and non-functionable
.
SBG Version 8.0.3-11
Domino Version 7.0.2

Since I don't know much about Domino, if the group doesn't have a
local.part@domain.part
, how would the e-mail have gotten to SBG in the first place from a non-domino sender (e.g. external sender)?

You have to change the default ldap query for the "Address Resolution Query" in the Receipt Validation settings at least, so that Mail-In DBs or Groups with e-mail addresses will be known: ( see attached screenshot ).
(|(|(|(mail=%s)(uid=%u))(cn=%s))(uid=%s)) or the following should be enough: (|(|(mail=%s)(uid=%u))(cn=%s))
Regards, Jan

Hi Jan,
I cannot found the "Address Resolution Query" option in my SBG
Is that the new features in SBG ver9?
I am currently using ver 8.0.3.
What is the SBG version of the dummy screen?
