Domino/Exchange setup
Created: 05 Aug 2010 | 1 comment
Did some looking, but can't find much info on an environment containing both Domino and Exchange servers.
1. Would I need separate EV servers for my Domino tasks and Exchange tasks? Or could I run tasks for both off of one server?
2. Can my Domino and Exchange mail be stored in the same archive?
3. Will there be any single instancing between the two?
4. In terms of migrating the Domino servers to Exchange, is this still the most updated information on the migration tool? - http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/294878.htm
Thanks in advance!

You can run both tasks from the same EV server, only caveat when archiving both is that you must use the same data access (formerly OWA anonymous account) for both OWA and DWA configuration.
No, you can only store one type of content within an archive.
There is no SIS of attachments as Domino stores them on a different format than Exchange does.
Yes, that tool will update shortcuts to work with Exchange once they've been migrated using of the templates included to map EV custom note properties in Domino messages to MAPI properties in Exchange.
