Can SEE Removable Device Encryption prompt the user to encrypt but allow them to decline? I've installed it on a machine here and it prompts but doesn't allow me to decline the encryption and cancels the file copy.

Did you find a solution to this?  If so, I'd love to know what it was.

I don't believe there's any way to have SEE-RS prompt the user each time they copy files to removable storage.  The only options you have are:

  • Allowing users to choose the default action (so they can choose if files are always encrypted or always left alone)
  • Allowing users to selectively encrypt/decrypt files by right-clicking on the file once its on removable storage

There may be other topions via Symantec DLP and SEE's FlexResponse plug in, but nothign springs to mind.
