Hi

Is there a complete list of all Download Portals that are supported in Download Protection

In the SEP 12.1 Relase notes the following portals are added, but I would also like a list of the portals that where available during the intitial release of SEP 12.1 as well.

  • Acrobat Reader (acrord32.exe)
  • Thunder (ThunderPlatform.exe)
  • BitComet x64 (bitcomet_x64.exe) Ares (ares.exe)
  • DC++ (dcplusplus.exe)
  • BitLord (bitlord.exe)
  • BearShare (bearshare.exe)
  • IMesh (imesh.exe)
  • Firefox Plugin Container (plugin-container.exe)
  • Safari (WebKit2WebProcess.exe)

Hello,

As per the Implementation Guide for SEP Version 12.1.671.4971,

Auto-Protect includes a feature that is called Download Insight, which examines the files that users try to download through Web browsers, text messaging clients, and other portals.

Supported portals include Internet Explorer, Firefox, Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger.

Download Insight determines that a downloaded file might be a risk based on evidence about the file's reputation. Download Insight is supported only for the clients that run on Windows computers.

Hope that helps!!
