Log.liveupdate Will Reveal The Cause
Hi Bijay,
It is not possible to determine the exact cause from that return code alone. There may be more information in the Windows Application Event Logs. Analyzing the server's log.liveupdate would make the task easier still.
Scroll to the bottom of the log.liveupdate and examine the SUCCESS or FAILURE line. Viewing that, and the several relevant lines around it, will provide a fuller understanding of the problem.
Feel free to copy those lines into the forum- other users will likely have encountered the same trouble before and will be able to provide assistance. If need be, contact Symantec Technical Support. One way or another, there is help to get that SEPM updating again. : )
Final plug: I recommend migrating to the new release, SEP 11 RU5. Lots of good enhancements and improvements there!
Thanks and best regards,
Mick
